Roy L McIntosh's 1941 Harvard Histology Lab Notebook with Tons of Wonderful Diagrams

Regular price $100.00

I love finding notebooks like this this one, kept by a Roy L. McIntosh for a Histology class at Harvard in 1941, and holding hundreds of carefully drawn diagrams of microscopic anatomy, many it appears having been observed first hand (under a microscope) though various dissections. The drawings get better and better as the semester progresses, most very delicately executed in colored pencil with handwritten labeling. Happily they were all done on a yardstick weight paper with punched edges, making for easy removal should one want to frame some up, which I most definitely would be inclined to do!

9 3/16” x 7 7/8” x 1 3/16”. 64 pages filled with drawings, done on one side only. Approx 16 blank pages at the end. All in very good condition. I've documented a representative sample, but there are many many many more, the majority in color. Much better in person.
