One sees old knives and butcher blocks with “BREAD” carved in their handles or around the edges, but I have not ever seen a “MEAT” fork, and for me at least it carries a very different sort of weight! Plus, it’s just the time of year to put this one to use serving a holiday meal! Perhaps just the right gift to bring to a Thanksgiving host or hostess—though for me this really resonates as a symbolic sort of object, with all sorts of rather primal connotations, such that I might rather hand it on the wall as a piece of conceptual art!
14 3/8” l x 7/8” w and in good condition, with a little surface cracking to the wood right down the center of the MEAT. Photos do it no justice!
