Frederic Fisher's 1863 Penmanship Practice Notebook with Good Sentences!

Regular price $70.00

Another really nice penmanship practice notebook, this one dated 1863 and done by Frederic Fisher, the brother I assume of Henry Fisher, whose notebook I just listed. I really like the somewhat looser handwriting in this one, done according to the Becker rather than Spencerian method, and which includes word repetition, including the names of lots of cities and countries, as well as sentences: Quarrelsome boys are troublesome; Command of hand gives freedom; Judge not that ye be judged; Remember the command of God, etc.

8 1/4" x 6 7/8"; 12 pages filled front and back (24 sides). Excellent condition, ink very dark and crisp and clear.
